Doug Beall

ECOS Designs, Inc.


Doug owns ECOS Designs, Inc., a real estate development consulting firm which focuses on sustainable development and green building practices. He is a licensed architect with a strong construction background and a wealth of experience in residential, retail and commercial projects. His work has included the development of the Base Village at Snowmass and the revitalization of the base area at Steamboat, where Doug played an integral role in developing the master plan for the resort and the base area redevelopment project. Doug has over 25 years of development experience as well as design and construction experience including custom home, multi-family, commercial, retail and resort residential projects.

Doug studied Range Ecology at Colorado State University and went on to earn his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Idaho. Doug's interest in the natural and built environments combined at the University of California where he completed his Master of Architecture degree with a focus on ecological design. ECOS Designs is a member of the US Green Building Council and Doug is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of both the Colorado Chapter of the USGBC and the American Institute of Architects.

A native of Wyoming, Doug has lived in Colorado for forty years. He is an avid backpacker, skier, snowboarder, fly fisherman and outdoor enthusiast.
